Hello, everyone!
I have had a handful of people email me to say that my blog has inspired them to document their own journey! Which is fantastic! If you want to share your blog/website on mine, I thought it would be neat to have one place where others can share their sites. When I was looking for different blogs, I found one really good blog, but I wanted to find other blogs too in order to get a better idea of what this journey would be like from multiple perspectives. Plus, I would love to follow your journey with you! With all that said, post in the comments your own journey and/or a link to any website or blog you have started. Anything you contribute will be of help to at least one person who is reading through multiple websites trying to alleviate some anxiety from such an intimidating procedure. Quick Update: Nothing has changed. I wish I could say otherwise with the numbness, but the only thing that has changed is that I am more used to the numbness.

I am currently day 14 post OPP, and wired for another 2 days. I had lower mandibular advancement, where they moved it ahead almost a complete inch. I am hoping that my feeling in the chin comes back, currently thats the only numb area, left and right side of the chin itself, but there could be numbness in the mouth, not sure as of yet. Thank you for your detailed journey, as it gives me direction on where my recovery will take me.

I have read your posts several times before surgery and now during recovery. Thank you so much for your dedication to writing this all out (i'm finding it can be tedious). I am working on documenting my experience for my own personal notes and to help others who are contemplating having the procedure done. Again thank you!

You are very welcome and thank you for sharing your site. When I first began documenting, I told myself that the tediousness would be worth it if I can just help one person. Your website will help many people! Especially since no two journeys are the same. It looks like you are through the worst part of you recovery at this point. I hope it continues to go smoothly! Thank you for sharing : )

How long until your swelling was completely gone? I got lower jaw surgery a month ago and I still feel like I might have swelling

Hey, Jose! I had about 10% of swelling left after 2 months. The last little bit takes awhile to go away, but it isn't noticeable by anyone but you and people trained to see that sort of thing. I think 100% of the swelling was gone after 6 months.
